Hilton Luau

So the first week that Liz and Jeanne were here, we all decided to go to a luau, at the Hilton Waikoloa. Excellent food and a good show too!

Scot's Birthday

The Magnificent and Irrepressible Scot Johnson came back to Hawaii for Christmas and to celebrate his 37th birthday with us. We all went to Bubba Gump's where he was the life of the restaurant.







Scot got a nice birthday kiss from the vivaceous Candy and after dinner, went down the street to learn the Hukelau.

Going to Waikiki!

Tomorrow morning, we fly to Waikiki Beach on Oahu to meet Jeanne Hannah! Two days of wining and dining in Honolulu. We will stay at the Ilikai, and then come back to the Big Island where Jeanne will house sit next door and feed the cat, Carlos.

Perhaps we will get the opportunity to climb up Diamond Head, which is at the end of Waikiki Beach. I have walked up there with just flip flops on and it is not a hard walk.

Art Show at Pau Mau Gardens

So we had another day up at Pau Mau Gardens, for the Art Show by the Plein Air group.

It was another stunning afternoon with clouds over the ocean.
