Back in 2004
I went to Volcanoes National Park with a woman from NYC who was doing portraits of people. She wanted to go and offer a blessing to Pele, so off we went. Of course, we were not walking faster than 15 mph over the lava.
Driving home one day, I saw an arrowhead in the clouds pointing up to my home.
There was another nite when we had fires just east of us in the hills. Another fire set by people who don't want to see too much new building in our area.
One day, while driving down the highway to Kona, I got this shot of Maui off in the distance, the deep blue waters and the shallower aqua waters near the shore. Plus, you get to see the lava rock that is so prevalent on the Big Island.
