Master Cleanse, Day 2

So Debbie and I are on day two of our master cleanse. So far, no major effects, altho we are not taking the herbal teas that encourage bowel movements as suggested in the literature. Day 1 was pretty normal for me. I only felt hungry once during the day. The lemon/maple syrup/cayenne pepper mix is keeping me from feeling any hunger or stuff like that. Debbie felt slightly hungry all day but it was only today that I had more food cravings.
One of side effects of the fast is noticing how much of our lives are devoted to eating, food prep and such. I really notice all the ads on TV and around town for food. I notice all the eating places, fast food, restaurants, markets, devoted to food. We had to go into KTA to get some cayenne pepper and guess what? The place was full of food. I also notice how unconsciously I am accustomed to snacking here and there. How many times I look in the fridge to find something to nibble on. Quite amazing how much of our lives involve eating. This is a great was for people to appreciate how much food we have in our lives. I don't think that Debbie and I are going to do the 21 days recommended by our friend Doug, but perhaps a week at it will do.
But today, I did succumb to food cravings and had some very diluted blueberry and pomegranate juice. Debbie had some too. Bery delicious.
