Saturday Nite Pot Luck

Here are photos of the gourmet group at Alii Lani. We have a pot luck every Saturday nite down at the pool, rain or shine. Last nite, it was rain, but we got to set up in the Community Room and get in out of the rain. Altho some of the cooking was down in partial rain. It's a good thing that we had help, from our former Alii Lani residents visiting again from Florida, Sheila and Rolf. Sheila is on the right and Eleanor is next to her. Eleanor and Don brought the ribs to celebrate Don's birthday.




Speaking of celebrations, here is Don opening up a bottle of bubbly contributed by Michael.


Here are two of the gourmands, serving themselves from the buffet table. The menu included paella, jalapeno corn bread, twice baked potatoes, two green salads, a shrimp salad, pork ribs, pork tenderloin, huli huli chicken and of course, birthday carrot cake.

We continue the tradition and all those who are friends of the people in our little group are always welcome back for our potlucks, even those who live in faraway Michigan or Florida.
